Obscure Mania

Computers, Gadgets, Grilling, Politics and Anything Else I can think of

My first thought, perfect… Following in the footsteps of the worst American President, Jimmy Carter. His fate is sealed. Even CNN has reported how ridiculous this is. Maybe it was his indecision about Afghanistan, but that can’t be, because his nomination had to be into the Nobel committee only two weeks after he was elected. Most of the comments about how he deserves this honor were about his good intentions, his hope for peace in the Middle East and of course, how well he spoke about peace.

When did the Peace Prize become a participation trophy? It wasn’t today, it became irrelevant awhile ago, but it was too irrelevant to even write about till now. The Prize has been awarded based on Hope and Change. Anyone else would see how silly this is and decline the award, but Obama is so arrogant he is going to accept this and probably even keep the money. He might say he’s giving it to a charity, but it will be his charity foundation.

I actually had to listen to his speech because it was carried by everyone. An arrogant man trying and failing to be humble and no mention of what he’s going to do with the money. What a crock.

Can we survive another three years? It’s only a year till 2010 when people can show they have woken up and replace some of the idiots in Congress. With some sort of stalemate in the government, maybe the left agenda will be on hold for awhile like what happened to Clinton. He had to come center right to get anything done. Putting some reins on this administration and this government as a whole is needed.

With this President following in the footsteps of Carter, who will emerge as our next Reagan. Sarah Palin? Probably not. She would be a good VP again, but she doesn’t have the leadership or the experience to pull us out of this mess, let alone the mess this country will be in several years from now. And the press will bring up the past when McCain threw her under the bus, let alone every other press fiasco, so maybe even VP wouldn’t be such a good choice. My vote is on Romney right now, but because of the chaos and disaster that may be upon us if this agenda goes any further, the pendulum will have such a wild swing the other direction we could be looking at someone like Ron Paul.

obama-taking-oathUnlike most of the two million people in DC, I had to work Inauguration Day. President Obama is now our President. He’s my President and I want him to succeed in everything he does because our future depends on him.

I’m not ecstatic about the 8 years of Bush, for several reasons, immigration and the prescription drug program among others. Him and his advisers may not have understood what the end of Saddam would do to Iraq, but they eventually fixed it. His proclaimed conservatism, wasn’t all that conservative.

I don’t remember exactly the Bush inauguration, but I’m pretty sure there weren’t jeers and yelling from the crowd when Clinton came up to speak. The fact that Chaney came out in a wheelchair because he injured his back was hilarious for some reason. The arrogance and guile of these people make me sick. I guess they felt safe to do anything they wanted, just like the mob mentality they represent.

Do as I say

Our new era is starting with, “Do as I say and not as I do” with plenty of exceptions. If you don’t like the rules, change them or make an exception or just ignore them. These are special times and special times require special exceptions. Everything from the President’s Blackberry to a tax cheat in charge of the IRS and the no lobbyiest administration making exceptions for lobbyiest. People that yell the loudest about corruption are usually the most corrupt. Barney Frank is against corruption, with an exception to his own. The people that write the tax code can’t pay their own taxes or think their own rules don’t apply to themselves.

Howard Stern sends a reporter to Harlem for a few “Man in the Street” interviews about Barack Obama. The clip speaks for itself.

Probably not. I’ve heard this a few other places that Obama’s Honolulu birth certificate looks a little suspect and his time out of the country, there is an issue with his citizenship. I never realized the Annenberg at factcheck.org is the same Annenberg project in Chicago that Obama’s was connected to. If they were the same you would think someone would have brought that up somewhere by now.

The video says it all. Obama’s own words, Obama’s own voice. I just don’t understand how everything he has said the media has given him a complete pass on. He can say anything, his wife can say anything, he can associate with criminals, terrorists and racists and it’s all conveniently explained away. How bad does it have to get before the press stops covering for him?
